OK just got through another round of runaround ... well I called the number from Monty's blog, the xtention 7 there gives only another number to call. Then I've got yet another number 1877 493 8785 ext.7. Operator there after asking the usual ? including my SIN, said again to call the automated system and order c/r over the phone there. I asked if I can somehow get my application for registration on line fixed. She replyed that "not at this time" that they "have no access to my file and to call in couple of month to see if it can be done then".
So pretty much a dead end. Good thing I got to order c/r over that prone service. But still my original issue reains not resolved.
Suggestions... anyone...

Thanks Angela. Yes you R absolutely correct. That is exactly what happened. The # to call (that came up to call) was 1800 871 3250. Once there I have tryed 2 different departaments and each time was told that they can not help me any further. They were the people who directed me to call another # (1800 465 7166) which is strictly automated system where one can order the c/r over the phone. It also gives an adress where to mail request for c/r via post. And alternatively it also gives the FAX #, so consumer can do this over FAX. Ones again I was able to order my c/r through this phone service.
Back to the first number - any other help (but to call the automated service) was flatly refused (in 2 diferent departaments). As an explanation (why no help) one operator stated that "this is what the system allowes them to do and nothing else". This is why I decided to post here my problem. And so I am asking again - anyone knows how to reset the unsucessfull aplication for registration? Did anyone have the same problem and resolved it successfully - meaning you were able to re-do your aplication and now can view your Euifax credit files on line. Did an operator help you, if yes where did you call - ph.number and departament.

Usually when you apply and are unable to be verified, a number comes on the screen with a customer service number you can use to verify your information. Once you speak with somebody who can then verify the info, they will usually set you up with your password so you can simply log in in the future.

Hello Monty, hello Angela thanks for replyes. No Monty no trailer park here. In fact I am pretty sure my credit has to be pretty good (have credit cards comming out of my ears have line of credit at major bank pay all bils on time etc.). I do not have any idea why it did not go through on line. Probably mismatch in some info on their files - could be anything really starting with name (original euro version Pavel vs Paul , adress, question in aplication such as "you may have a student loan - pick institution which one", never had one student loan I mean). Honestly I have no idea. Angela - yes I did order the report on the 1800 465 7166. That went through OK. (I thoght I mentioned that in my orig post... maybe not). I certainly will try to get to the bothom of this. And I will keep posting results here what ever they shall be. Have not had time today to call again that technical support number from Monty's blog. But I will and let you know. Thanks guis.

Odd... my credit bureau didn't match and I was able to use the 1-800 number verification process.

If that fails, you can sign up for a monitoring service. They will give you your report every three months. I use identity guard to watch equifax.

Hi pabloqt,
What what the reason you were denied?
Do you live in a trailer park type situation... that was one of the problems my client had.

Equifax failed app.- can very first application be "reset"?

Postby pabloqt » Tue Jan 13, 2009 08:15:18 PM

Hello everyone. In Blog section back on Mach 18 / 08 Monty Loree posted trouble with ordering credit report on line (Here we go again....). About 6 month ago I tryed to get my report from Equifax as well. If one is "first timer" one has to go through registration process first in order to be able access your credit data - one's identity has to be verified during this aplication process. Probably I failed to match everything to what Equifax has on file. I have tryed to do this again now and I have not gone even past the fist page of the process. Make story short - next page informed me that I have not been charged anything but I will not be allowed to continue and was directed to call 1800 871 3250. There a technical operator informed me that I will not be able to do my credit report on line EVER !! and that it is all the system is allowing her to do. Then I was directed to 1800 465 7166 where according to instructions I will be helped for sure. The number is fully automated "over the phone' order of your credit report - so I did and was told to expect it in mail.
Here is MY QUESTION - is it possible to reset this "first application" (on Eqquifax side) and start from scratch with the application process? Did anyone do it and were you successfull? I'm planing to try the number for technical help from Monty's post but I am not positive that his case was same as mine. I haven't got past the first base.
All answers will be appreciated. Thank you.
