stock investing is like any profession, you need to study it inside and out before you put your money into it.
re:canadian banks, banks in canada

If you paper trade for 3-6 months, and track how your paper trades are doing, then you'll an idea if you're making money or not.

Ummm...I'm sure you mean the companies Kraft Foods and Campbells. And of course, I assumed people would get the drift without my having to spell them out. re:canadian banks, banks in canada

The advice was good; don’t forget Kraft dinner and Campbell’s soup. re:canadian banks, banks in canada

Someone once told me that a good and safe investment was in companies that produce things that we all use daily no matter the economy....like companies that make shampoo, toothpaste, soap, household cleaners, that sort of thing. re:canadian banks, banks in canada

Since I've never played the investment game myself, I don't actually know how good that suggestion/advice actually is.

CANADIAN BANKs STOCKS

Postby average_joe » Tue Dec 16, 2008 08:08:59 AM

I was watching BNN last night and one of the commentators stated; buying stocks in the Canadian banks is not a good idea. The Canadian bank stocks are down at least 60% to date. He also stated that their stock is going to go down further in the future. He also stated; if you have shares in the Canadian banks you are better off taking your money out and investing it in other companies that have a better return. re:canadian banks, banks in canada
