Dear Tom:
I understand your point of view and I don't fully agree with it, but I respect your opinion.
First and foremost, I totally (or on purpose, actually don't remember) forgot to mention that I have worked previously at iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency . I do not fully agree with some of the tactics that they use to get money from debters, but I do know that it is all done legally.
The only thing I can see from reading your post, is that you told the collection agent that you would pay "out" the amount owed, you do realize they write that down on your file and will keep you to it? What did you expect them to do, you called them and told them you would pay, but yet you didnt.
I understand that you are still making your monthly payments, but calling them and telling that you can pay the full amount and didnt, was not a good idea.
ps: good luck with the rest of your payments, I know how hard it is to get out of debt.... wishing you nothing but the best.
Dear Monty:
"Mr Stop the Whining:
? Do you know the laws that collection agencies must follow?
? Do you know that unless you agreed with the original creditor for them to use a collection agency, you don't have to?!!"
- I know the laws the collection agencies must follow....
- Did you know that they sell your account to iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency and they have full rights to get the money from you?
How can you say that my opinion, even if negative, is not helping people out? Instead or hearing about, how you can get around this, maybe try and help them realize how they got in this position and how not to get back in it.
Level the playing field??? Are you kidding me? It's not a game, and it's not something you can make a deal and try to bargain for it.
You owe money, then pay your debts.
Straight forward and to the point. Enough of people trying to get the easy road out... Take responsibilities.
