Collection agencies will not take monthly payments on a settlement. They may allow you 30-60 days to pay it, but will not do it over a 5 or 6 month period.

What I would suggest is going with whoever is going to lend you the money at 30% and just bite the dust with them for 5 or 6 months. Because, in reality you are basically saving money in the end even with paying your lender 30% with that settlement ($2400 bucks is a pretty good deal).

Payment arrangements with NCO

Postby indebt2006 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 01:31:38 PM

Hi there, I was wondering if this would work...
I am willing to settle an overdue account which has a balance of $5300, I spoke to NCO yesterday and they said if i can come up with $2900 they would take that, spoke with this loan company and they would lend at 30% interest.

I figure if i make arrangments with NCO for about 450 a month for the next 5 or 6 months would they accept that to clear this and finish with this overdue loan. Any comments would be great thank you
